Champ Lake Monster of Lake Champlain

Lake Champlain

“Champ” or “Champy” is a legendary lake monster, often described as a 15-50 foot long plesiosaur-like creature, believed to inhabit Lake Champlain between New York and Vermont. With over 300 alleged sightings since 1819, this cryptozoological icon is a major regional tourism draw. While often compared to the Loch Ness Monster, no conclusive scientific evidence exists, leading to speculation that sightings are large garfish, misidentified creatures, or lingering folklore.
