Wasatch County DUP Museum

The Wasatch County Daughters of Utah Pioneers (DUP) Museum, located in Heber City, preserves and displays artifacts, photographs, and histories of the early settlers who founded the area between 1830 and 1900.

Hours of Operation

The museum is open year-round with the following regular hours: 

  • Tuesday – Saturday: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Sunday – Monday: Closed
  • Holiday Closures: Closed the day before, day of, and day after Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. 

Key Exhibits & Features

  • Pioneer Portraits: Over 130 framed photographs of early Wasatch County settlers.
  • Artifacts: Rare pioneer-era items including a hand fire truck from the Wasatch County Fire Department, a heritage quilt of historic buildings, and pioneer tools.
  • Native American Display: A collection of original and facsimile items focused on the culture of the area’s first inhabitants and the Black Hawk War.
  • Tabernacle Display: The Wasatch Chapter also maintains a separate pioneer lifestyle display at the old Heber City LDS Tabernacle (now Heber City Offices).
  • Family Activities: “Seek and Find” activity sheets are available for children to use during their visit. 

Tours

While reservations are not needed for small groups during regular hours, special tours for schools, civic, or church groups can be arranged outside these times by contacting the museum director.
