Ben Lomond / Bigelow Hotel of Utah

The Bigelow Hotel (formerly the Ben Lomond) in Ogden, Utah, is considered highly haunted, with the 11th floor and Room 1102 as hotspots. Built in 1927, the hotel is renowned for reports of a drowned bride, a mother who died of grief, phantom, cold spots, moving furniture, and elevators operating on their own. 

Key Paranormal Reports & Legends:

  • Room 1102: A bride allegedly drowned in the bathtub here on her honeymoon, with her son reportedly taking his own life in an adjacent room shortly after.
  • The 11th Floor: Guests and staff report hearing faint footsteps, smelling phantom perfume, and feeling as though they are being watched or nudged.
  • Other Activity: Reports include disembodied voices, slamming doors, and a, “grief-stricken” mother wandering the halls. 

The hotel, located on Washington Boulevard, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
