Tahoe Tessie is a legendary, snake-like lake monster believed to inhabit the deep waters of Lake Tahoe, often cited as the American equivalent to the Loch Ness Monster. Common theories suggest she is a large prehistoric sturgeon or perhaps a remnant creature living in underwater caves near Cave Rock.
